It’s about whether you should focus on building one large authority website or multiple niche websites. I promise you’ll learn more from this one article than anything you’ve read on Warrior Forum or Digital Point…

One Authority Site or Niche Mini Sites?

Everyone will work at their own pace, whether they believe it’s right or wrong. Remember, this isn’t a race. You’re simply building a long-term Business, so take the proper time.

Let’s go ahead and pretend we’re starting from scratch, so that I can help you (and maybe others) get a better idea of what building 100 sites should be like.

I also want to stress a point, too… there is no right or wrong way of building 100 sites vs. 1 Authority site, but I do believe 100 sites will be the best way to go (in theory and in practice, but follow along) because you’re able to do what Marketers practice and preach: Testing.

For instance, what if you build one Authority site and you spend hours and hours planning and building every single day, as well as paying for help, articles, etc. and then… it all tanked…

Maybe someone hacked your site and you didn’t have a backup? Maybe you just put too much effort into a site that really didn’t have a good audience?

This is where I thought about the “Lean Affiliate Marketing” approach, much like Lean Manufacturing, Lean Startup, etc. You build something small, try to make money quick and gradually improve after doing small tests. But you’re also building other sites in a similar fashion.

Here’s an idea: You build 10 sites (small) that have 5 articles each and they’re all in similar niches, but not the same. Maybe they’re: Fat Loss, Body Building, Gaining Weight for Skinny Guys, etc, etc — all somewhat similar, but not really the same niche. Each site is doing the following:

They have decent content

They’re building Lists

They’re promoting a product

Now let’s compare that to one giant site about Fat Loss.

- The competition is fierce, but the amount of content may help.
- You’re spending a lot of time and energy into one site and you’re not sure if you will be successful
- You’ve got 50 articles on this one site vs. 5 articles spread out across 10 similar, but much smaller sites

What happens in these scenarios? Nobody really knows… but we can pretty much assume that out of 10 smaller sites – you’ll have a bit more luck. And guess what? You can build those “luckier” sites up from there.

Think of this like fishing…

You go to a spot where everybody says “Yeah, Joe over there caught a 50 lb Striper just this morning!” … so you figure “If I spend the next 5-6 hours out there, I’m sure I’ll catch something.”

Now let’s say you went fishing in 10 different spots at the same time? Yeah, that sounds impossible, but not if you put out a trot line at 9 spots and fish in another (for those not familiar with a trot line: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trotline)

I can assure you that you will have more chances with 9 trot lines + your own fishing pole.

So why not try to build a few sites a week and go from there? In 5 weeks you’ll have 10 sites and each one gives you a little bit more chance to find that “luck”

Just do a few things:

1. Make sure you have Analytics on each site, preferably with GetClicky.com and not Google Analytics. Use this information to see how the traffic is going.

2. Analyze your competition. Yes, you can do this afterwards, IMO. These are small niche sites, so don’t be too worried. You can build them up later and compete with any site not named Google and Facebook. At this point – you can probably buy Yahoo in a few months and use it as your own personal Private Blog Network.

3. Learn about what’s going on, figure out which site is making the most money and spend a bit more time on that/those site(s) so that you can capitalize on the growth.

Clint is the owner of Affiliit and he posts high-quality, real world content like this all the time so if your online business is failing, check out his internet marketing training website.

Hey everyone,

Lately I’ve been working hard on building up affiliate sites using purely SEO. As of this writing, I had one site make $999.16 for the month of OCtober (I got paid in November for those sales).

I have several more sites that I’m building, but with anything in SEO you really don’t know how long it can take for Google to notice that your site is serious and needs to be ranked high.

I also have another project that I completed in September where I wrote my own 65 page ebook. It’s been making consistent sales through my website and the list I’ve been building.

I’m making money and learning a lot on the way with real hands-on experience, something 99% of the gurus out there can’t say. They make all of their money through selling their own internet marketing products and JVing with other IM gurus.

It’s a huge scam and unfortunately, a lot of people buy into it because these guys make hundreds of thousands of dollars each and every year.

So, I have decided that I’m going to be making my own training products based on my real experience with SEO, list building, PPC and anything else I try in the future.

I will have no affiliate program for these products which means I won’t be depending on JV lists to make me hundreds of thousands of dollars.

These will be high quality products for a very low price simply because I don’t want people spending $65+ on bogus clickbank internet marketing crap. I find it ridiculous that these products sell so many copies. The latest batch of IM products have all been these so-called automated softwares.

Crap! Pure crap. Anyone that thinks you can make money doing nothing is living in a dream world.

Once my products are completed, there will be no tweeting, no facebooking, no JV email list blasting. The only way you’re going to hear about them is either through visiting this site and seeing them on the sidebar, hearing about them from other people, or seeing a link in a signature on a forum (which will be rare since I rarely visit IM forums).

I will be setting up an email list that you can sign-up below. This will be an email list that only contains news about the things thats I am doing. No affiliate product promotion of any kind. No promotion of other people’s stuff.

As of this time, the only products I currently still recommend to people are Affiliit and CPV Den. I am still members at these websites because membership sites are the way to go for real-time training.

Sign-up below so you’ll know when I release my first product. It’ll either be about SEO and how I get my wordpress blogs to the top of the SERPS, or it will be on list building as I’m getting pretty darn good at that too.

I also ask that you send me any questions you have about internet marketing. I’m here to help you out and to learn as well. Sending in questions will benefit everyone because I will answer them in future emails.

Optimize Press is a brand new WordPress theme that has just hit the market. My friend Jen (PPC Mom) recommended it to me and I went ahead and decided to check out this theme and give it a review.

As you know, I’m a big fan of Thesis Theme. I have a review here on my website that you can check out. But I am also always on the lookout for other themes that hit the market. Who knows when the next big internet marketing theme will hit the globes.

Optimize Press is an all-around theme that allows you to build sales pages, squeeze pages, launch pages, one-time offer pages and more. I can see it as being a big time merchant theme because it’s all about capturing the email and creating nice sales pages.

Seeing how I am just now getting into product creation, this theme really interests me and it’s why I decided to get it. There aren’t that many themes out there that allow you to easily create a sales page. Thesis is decent with it with the 1 column option, but it’s not as pretty as I would like it to be.

The only WordPress theme that I can think of that does a decent job with sales pages is Flexsqueeze.

to be continued soon!

If you’re new to internet marketing or blogging in general, it’s important that your website has a theme that is easy for your visitors to navigate and access your information. We call this a “good user experience” and having a clean theme is very important to achieve this.

As a dedicated user of Thesis Theme, I will tell you why I like this theme and how it benefits internet marketers.

As a user of WordPress, you’re probably aware of the thousands of free themes that you can access from the dashboard when you log into your website.

While some of these themes are decent, I’ve yet to truly find a great all-around theme that can work in every type of niche. I used to work with the iNove theme back in the day, but I found it only worked decently with a few niches.

I decided to purchase the Thesis Theme when I saw a successful site ranking well in Google for a random niche. I think it was in the weight loss market, but I’m not sure.

All I know is that I loved the look and feel of his website and how easy it was to navigate. I found out that he was using Thesis which greatly influenced by buying decision.

In my opinion, having a clean and easy to read website is key to making money online. Thesis Theme makes this easy with the right settings…

Thesis Theme: What Makes It Great?

Let’s take a good look at the first options of the theme. As you can see, there are plenty of options for you to customize to your liking. In fact, Thesis Theme is so customizable, you can create all of your own custom images, buttons, borders, etc. (or have them outsourced) and add them to your site. You’ll have to mess around with the code, but again you can outsource all of that.

The above picture shows you the Thesis Options page. This is where you can edit certain things like the title of your website, whether or not you’d like to index your categories, tags, archives, and more. You can also choose the number of posts that appear on the front page of your blog.

In the Display Options section, you can choose whether or not to show your head and tagline. This is important to disable if you plan on using a banner for your header.

The only other section I touch in here are the Bylines. For some sites, I choose to not show the date that my post was published. I do this for a lot of my set it and forget it sites so that my visitors don’t know how old my reviews are

The Navigation Menu is very useful. You can add and remove as many pages as you’d like from the navigation bar on your blog, along with the order that they appear in. You can also add more links if you want to link out to another webpage or review.

The header and footer scripts section allows you to add certain scripts like opt-in pop-ups or analytics to your site. These are useful for tracking the number of visitors that you have and which keywords are being used to find your website.

Thesis Theme Design Options

This is the next set of options for you to edit your Thesis Theme. Here you can change the colors of texts, the sizes of the fonts, the width of the blog and sidebar, and more. Take a look at the image below so you can see what I’m talking about…

The Fonts, Colors, and More! section is where you really start to edit how you blog looks and feels. The Body section allows you to choose the main font for your theme. I usually use Verdana for my sites, but occasionally I’ll use Georgia. Either one looks great.

You’ll also be able to edit the color of your headline and tagline along with the colors of your titles for your blog posts. You can edit the colors of your navigation bar in the Nav Menu section. I haven’t done much editing with colors on this site, but you can definitely theme your colors if you want to.

The Site Layout section is where you can choose how you want your blog to appear. Do you want a 1 column only blog which can act as a sales page? Or do you want a 2 column blog like this one? Or, if you’d like, you can have 3 columns – 2 sidebars and a central content area.

You can also use the custom file editor to further edit the CSS of the theme. But instead of editing the actual CSS file, you simply input the code that you want to use and it will replace the one in the main CSS. That’s how I was able to create the blue background you see.

Conclusion

Well, that really is about it. I don’t know what else I can talk about with the theme other than the fact that you make it what you want it to be. You have all of these options available to make your blog look how you want it.

Now if you’re new to CSS and html, then use Google to search for tutorials. For instance, if you want a custom header like I have on this site, then you’ll want to learn the code to make that possible. It’s not difficult, just takes a little bit of learning.

After working with Thesis Theme for some time, you’ll get used to it and you’ll learn some CSS and html along the way which is never a bad thing.

Click Here to Get Thesis Theme

BONUS: If you order Thesis Theme through this page, then simply email me and I’ll help you set it up with the best options that yields the highest conversions. I’ll also throw in my SEO guide that I use for every single site. It’s not for sale because it’s my current system that I use to build profitable websites.

Just use the contact form above if you’d like it.

Thanks and I hope this review helps you out!

I’ve been doing affiliate marketing for a little over a year now with a few breaks in between. I’ve done pretty much every type of marketing out there and I’ve seen it all.

I just can’t believe how many people are still following those gurus out there.

Now I don’t mean the average CPA guru that actually provides decent content. I’m talking about the clickbank weekly launch gurus that make 90% of their income from these product launches.

You’d think that eventually people would catch on to the con that’s been going on…

But then you visit cbengine.com and you see the latest product launch with an 1100 gravity. 1100!!!!

WTF!

That’s just insane and you know the guru is laughing to the bank… for now (more on that later).

The shocking part is that people are so desperate to learn from these so-called master at marketing that they’re willing to buy product after product with hopes that they’ll magically make money.

Dumb. So dumb.

How many successful non-scummy business people do you know that made all of their money following someone else? I personally don’t know any.

Now there are plenty of scummy business men that make their money copying others (like the 546th SEO product on Clickbank that just launched tomorrow).

But other than that, I really don’t know many. All of the people I know that have been successful have created their own ways of marketing.

Sure, plenty of people use SEO and PPC and CPV and all of that, but it’s the unique way of marketing that they do it.

Lucas at CPVDen.com has one of the most unique ways of making money with CPV traffic that I’ve ever seen and I’ve never seen or heard of that anywhere else.

So yes, while you would just be a follower doing the same exact method he does, you can instead use your head and come up with other creative similar methods that are for your own style.

Now I’ve recently been big with list building. And you might say “well Jeff, everyone does list building. You’re just a follower.”

First of all, hardly anyone does list building. That’s a fact. You’re signed up to a bunch of lists and it’s because of people like you signing up, they’re making the big money. How many lists do you actually have?

The fact is about 9/10 affiliate marketers don’t have lists.

Let’s look at every single legitimate successful marketer online. They all have lists and it doesn’t matter which niche they are in.

A great example is Mike Geary who owns Truth About Abs. This guy created his own brand from the ground up using article marketing, PPC, Facebook, and now media buying and plenty of fish. He did it all on his own and recruited affiliates in the process and now look where he’s at?

He’s doing $1 mil per month now.

And he doesn’t even force visitors to opt-in to his list. But when you do, he’s good at sending a high quality article every 1-2 days.

That’s a real, long-term business model that he’s been working on 5+ years now.

What about you? You’re probably stuck trying to run some CPA ring tone offer on Media Traffic (which sucks by the way). How long is that going to last you? You really think doing that stuff is going to get you to $1 mil per month?

Hell no.

Now I’m not bashing CPA marketing. I do it because it makes money. But I also work on my own products. Whether it’s writing ebooks, making audio and video products, or whatever, I’m working on my own products that I can sell and recruit affiliates for.

That’s where the real money is.

So instead of following the next “SEO Traffic Loophole” think about your own business instead. Where do you really see yourself in 5 years? Do you honestly believe you’re going to be making millions in 5 years doing pure affiliate marketing?

No, you won’t.

Let’s look at every single guru making big bucks.

They all have their own product somewhere. Whether it’s a training ebook, a forum, webinars, interviews or whatever. They all have some sort of product that they can expand on over time.

Do you?

You probably don’t even have a list. I’d start there if I were you…

Copywriting is the number 1 skill to learn in internet marketing but I’ll talk about that at a later time.

In the meantime, stop buying products and start making your own. It’s not hard. I wrote a 60 page ebook in the relationships niche in under 2 days. You can do the same.

UPDATE 8/30: Hello there readers,

It is the end of August and MOBS is about to launch.

But have I actually put the system to test yet?

The answer is no.

If you know me, you know I’m not the type of blogger that reviews stuff just to make money from it.

I only review products and courses that I actually use.

CPV Den, Affiliit, These Theme, Ultimate Footer Ad are all things that I currently use in my business.

This month, I’ve been spending a great deal learning CPV marketing. It’s a fantastic traffic source once you find profitable campaigns.

That’s the hard part.

It can take a lot of testing and money to find something that works.

And don’t expect people to help you out and give you keywords/urls to run, along with landing pages. No, you must figure that out all by yourself.

So with that said, I do very much plan on returning to SEO using the MOBS system once it’s released, but I don’t expect to do so until then. CPV can really take up a lot of your time since 4 out of 5 campaigns usually fail.

Yep, this is the truth. If you don’t like the idea of building and building and building, then CPV isn’t for you.

However, if you want to work hard and reap the rewards, then check out my CPV Den review.

—————————————————————————-

I am going to be reviewing the upcoming product called My Online Business Strategy by Gary Gregory, a man who has helped me immensely in internet marketing. For those that don’t know me, I have horrible work ethic, a massive case of ADD, and a tendency to drink 1 too many drinks on the weekend.

You also know that I don’t review too many products at all. Actually, I believe I have only reviewed continuity products up to this point. I only review programs that I have personally tried myself. I’m not like those other bloggers out there that write about every damn product launch and offer a PLR bonus filled with information written by a guy from India (no offense to anyone from India…).

Now I don’t actually have any trial copies of MOBS or anything like that, I have had the pleasure of personally speaking with Gary in the past and recently about MOBS sites in general. I don’t know the entire system at all yet, but I do believe I have some of the foundational knowledge of it from the hints he has given me.

I can be sure of a couple of things: Gary knows what he is talking about. This is a guy that started out struggling like you and I, built a hundred or so sniper sites and things went up hill from there. Plus, I talk to the guy at least once a week and he’s always gotten back to me on the same day with great enthusiasm which I do appreciate.

So, I once I figure out what the My Online Business Strategy system is exactly, I will do a case study and write up my report about it. I will then do a simple bonus – giving the exact domain and keywords that I focused on to rank well. From what I hear, sites using this system are ranking in the top 5 in just a couple of weeks.

I’m pumped up about this and hoping that I can get my hand on MOBS before the release date. Stay tuned and feel free to do a search for My Online Business Strategy on google and you will definitely learn a lot more from the other users that are preparing for the launch. Also, be sure to check out http://www.mobsnews.com/ and you will get more information from the community about the MOBS system.

Earlier today, I posted a lesson about why I believe these submission services such as Unique Article Wizard, SEOlinkvine, My Article Network, etc. are not the best solution for getting backlinks. Yes, you may get a large number of links to your site and increase in ranks, but I feel that these are WAY overrated and too many people are getting suckered into using them.

Incoming Long Post – A Lesson About Syndicating Content and Getting Traffic.

One thing I’ve noticed during the last few months I’ve gotten into SEO is the popularity of services such as unique article wizard, my article network, seolinkvine, etc. and the hype surrounding these services make it sound like you must use them if you want to succeed. They all seem to advertise the same thing: content on thousands of blogs = more traffic and better search engine ranking!!!!

Sounds so freaking good doesn’t it?? It almost makes the $67+/month price tag seem quite worth it.

For people low on budget, it also sounds like if you don’t sign up to these services, you’re going to lose to your competition…

I personally won’t ever use these services and I don’t believe them to be useful in the long-run and I’ll explain why.

The first thing I don’t like is how they all seem to think that your articles you submit out there need to be UNIQUE! That’s been the biggest thing people worry about: unique content.

Yes, unique content on your blog is needed. HOWEVER, articles that you’re writing for other websites and directories do NOT need to be unique whatsoever and spinning them won’t make any difference. Bold statement, I know. But it really is the truth.

And I’m tired of these companies that are trying to convince you to spend your time spinning. But I can’t diss their marketing strategy in all of this because it just appears so good and many many people fall for it.

With that said, I do somewhat think these submission services do work if you are trying to increase your website rankings. But your site isn’t increasing rank because you have tons of spun articles out there which google sees right through. No, your rank is increasing because the blogs that your content are on have age, PR and authority that is being passed to your website. It doesn’t matter that your content is unique.

When you have 200 different blogs that continually add new caffeinated content daily(which google has begun cracking down on btw), these blogs get spidered frequently and they have tons of pages which = authority.

There’s another 1500 words as I go on to explain what I feel is the best way. Remember, when it comes to SEO work, time = $$$ and don’t forget that.

The problem lies in that it can take hours to setup 1 article to a spun format to be submitted to these services. In that 1 hour, you could have written 5 articles and used those instead. Now you may be saying “Yea but 1 spun article = 100 unique articles!!!”

Well, like I said above, spun or not doesn’t matter. It’s all about where the content lies that determines the power of the links. Not the uniqueness of it. Feel free to prove me wrong if you want! Matt Callen and the other companies will tell you whatever it takes to convince you to become members. I simply stating the actual truth.

Spreading content around isn’t a penalty and Google isn’t going to give the links less weight. What they will, however, is give less weight to certain sites. That’s why if you use a service to submit your article to 2000 directories, you will see hardly any traffic and search engine ranking since Google discredits 99% of those directories. Just stick with the top 10 directories.

Do you think AP news writers spin their articles? Heck no. Sites like CNN, Fox News, Yahoo and whatever can post the same articles all day since they are known as a reputable source and authority in Google’s eyes. Syndication is a good thing and not bad like these services make you believe.

If you want to read the rest of the lesson, head on over to the Affiliit Forum and check it out.

Leave comments below if you got any questions.

Link Dozer Review

So, first things first, what exactly is Link Dozer? It isn’t nearly as popular or talked about amongst mainstream internet marketer users. And the reason for this is simple: Kristina (owner of Link Dozer) wants to keep it as a tight-knit community as possible. By becoming main stream, the system would only lose it’s effectiveness.

Network, SEOlinkvine, etc. are not nearly as effective because Google knows all about them and is manually removing the blogs in that network every single day.

By keeping Link Dozer small, it will remain off of the radar of Google and remain effective for a long while.

When I joined Link Dozer, the first thing I noticed were the number of professional SEO’s that were apart of this community. Being as expensive as it is to become a member, this didn’t surprise me at all. But beyond the membership price, the knowledge that Kristina has for the search engines is beyond anyone else out there. I’ve learned more about SEO from her in a few forum posts than any ebook or site.

I really wish I could use pictures to describe what you get as a member. For one, you get access to the Link Dozer tool that you download to your desktop. This tool is huge and will definitely take you some time to learn. I recommend setting aside at least a week to learn how the tools works. Kristina provides some awesome videos to teach you how to create accounts with it, spin your articles (not required), submit them, and more.

This is, without the doubt, the best place to learn about spinning in my opinion. 99% of internet marketers do not know how to spin correctly and thus they see hardly any results from their thousands of spun articles that they have submitted to the search engines.

You may already know my opinion on spinning – I don’t believe it’s as effective as the internet marketing community wants you to believe. If you post an article to the directories and it gets picked up by a blogger, they aren’t going to spin it and you still get a great back link.

In a series of 9 videos, Kristina shows you exactly how to spin articles correctly in order to achieve 90% uniqueness each and every time. The knowledge I gained from these videos will be with me for a life time and will give me increased rankings over my competition (you).

One of the main things I’ve learned about syndicating your content is to take advantage of everything a site offers. For example – if you’re going to post an article you’ve written to a blog, use pictures and embed a Youtube video. This adds to the user experience which Google is all about now.

Google is a lot smarter than most people think! They know when an article has been spun because everyone else is doing the same thing! So be smart about it and do the natural thing.

Learning how to spin an article correctly was more than worth the admission price.

There are plenty of more cool features that LinkDozer provides but unfortunately, I cannot share what they are due to NDA. I will say this however: you will never need another membership site after joining Link Dozer. As in, you will no longer need Unique Article Wizard, SEOnuke, or any other membership site focused around SEO and automation (I’m still a member of Affiliit because I like the non-seo stuff as well).

Feel free to e-mail me about Link Dozer. I’ll answer whatever I can because I know this review was a little vague. I like to think of it as an all-in-one Automation membership site.

If you’d like to join now through my link, I will give you a guide I have written exclusively for Link Dozer. This will save you at least a week of learning. I spent 1-2 weeks going through learning everything and you will do the same without this guide.
