Authority Site or Multiple Niche Sites?

by Jeff on December 13, 2011

AffiliitThe following is an EPIC guest post and marketing truth bomb from Clint Lenard of Affiliit.com.

It’s about whether you should focus on building one large authority website or multiple niche websites.  I promise you’ll learn more from this one article than anything you’ve read on Warrior Forum or Digital Point…

One Authority Site or Niche Mini Sites?

Everyone will work at their own pace, whether they believe it’s right or wrong. Remember, this isn’t a race. You’re simply building a long-term Business, so take the proper time.

Let’s go ahead and pretend we’re starting from scratch, so that I can help you (and maybe others) get a better idea of what building 100 sites should be like.

I also want to stress a point, too… there is no right or wrong way of building 100 sites vs. 1 Authority site, but I do believe 100 sites will be the best way to go (in theory and in practice, but follow along) because you’re able to do what Marketers practice and preach: Testing.

What I’ve Been Up To (and other news)

by Jeff on December 9, 2010

Hey everyone,

Lately I’ve been working hard on building up affiliate sites using purely SEO.  As of this writing, I had one site make $999.16 for the month of OCtober (I got paid in November for those sales).

I have several more sites that I’m building, but with anything in SEO you really don’t know how long it can take for Google to notice that your site is serious and needs to be ranked high.

I also have another project that I completed in September where I wrote my own 65 page ebook.  It’s been making consistent sales through my website and the list I’ve been building.

I’m making money and learning a lot on the way with real hands-on experience, something 99% of the gurus out there can’t say.  They make all of their money through selling their own internet marketing products and JVing with other IM gurus.

It’s a huge scam and unfortunately, a lot of people buy into it because these guys make hundreds of thousands of dollars each and every year.

So, I have decided that I’m going to be making my own training products based on my real experience with SEO, list building, PPC and anything else I try in the future.

I will have no affiliate program for these products which means I won’t be depending on JV lists to make me hundreds of thousands of dollars.

These will be high quality products for a very low price simply because I don’t want people spending $65+ on bogus clickbank internet marketing crap.  I find it ridiculous that these products sell so many copies.  The latest batch of IM products have all been these so-called automated softwares.

Crap!  Pure crap.  Anyone that thinks you can make money doing nothing is living in a dream world.

Once my products are completed, there will be no tweeting, no facebooking, no JV email list blasting.  The only way you’re going to hear about them is either through visiting this site and seeing them on the sidebar, hearing about them from other people, or seeing a link in a signature on a forum (which will be rare since I rarely visit IM forums).

I will be setting up an email list that you can sign-up below.  This will be an email list that only contains news about the things thats I am doing.  No affiliate product promotion of any kind.  No promotion of other people’s stuff.

As of this time, the only products I currently still recommend to people are Affiliit and CPV Den.  I am still members at these websites because membership sites are the way to go for real-time training.

Sign-up below so you’ll know when I release my first product.  It’ll either be about SEO and how I get my wordpress blogs to the top of the SERPS, or it will be on list building as I’m getting pretty darn good at that too.

I also ask that you send me any questions you have about internet marketing. I’m here to help you out and to learn as well. Sending in questions will benefit everyone because I will answer them in future emails.

Thanks for signing up and be sure to send me your questions!

Optimize Press is a brand new WordPress theme that has just hit the market.  My friend Jen (PPC Mom) recommended it to me and I went ahead and decided to check out this theme and give it a review.

As you know, I’m a big fan of Thesis Theme.  I have a review here on my website that you can check out.  But I am also always on the lookout for other themes that hit the market.  Who knows when the next big internet marketing theme will hit the globes.

Optimize Press is an all-around theme that allows you to build sales pages, squeeze pages, launch pages, one-time offer pages and more.  I can see it as being a big time merchant theme because it’s all about capturing the email and creating nice sales pages.

Seeing how I am just now getting into product creation, this theme really interests me and it’s why I decided to get it.  There aren’t that many themes out there that allow you to easily create a sales page.  Thesis is decent with it with the 1 column option, but it’s not as pretty as I would like it to be.

The only WordPress theme that I can think of that does a decent job with sales pages is Flexsqueeze.

to be continued soon!

Thesis Theme ReviewThesis Theme is a wordpress theme that is designed with the internet marketer in mind.  You may not know this, but this very site runs on the Thesis Theme – along with all of my other WordPress sites.

If you’re new to internet marketing or blogging in general, it’s important that your website has a theme that is easy for your visitors to navigate and access your information.  We call this a “good user experience” and having a clean theme is very important to achieve this.

As a dedicated user of Thesis Theme, I will tell you why I like this theme and how it benefits internet marketers.

Why Do People Still Listen To Gurus?

by Jeff on September 22, 2010

I’ve been doing affiliate marketing for a little over a year now with a few breaks in between.  I’ve done pretty much every type of marketing out there and I’ve seen it all.

I just can’t believe how many people are still following those gurus out there.

Now I don’t mean the average CPA guru that actually provides decent content.  I’m talking about the clickbank weekly launch gurus that make 90% of their income from these product launches.

You’d think that eventually people would catch on to the con that’s been going on…

But then you visit cbengine.com and you see the latest product launch with an 1100 gravity.  1100!!!!

WTF!

Earlier today, I posted a lesson about why I believe these submission services such as Unique Article Wizard, SEOlinkvine, My Article Network, etc. are not the best solution for getting backlinks.  Yes, you may get a large number of links to your site and increase in ranks, but I feel that these are WAY overrated [...]
